About Me

I am a professor of agricultural and applied economics at the University of Missouri. I hold the Al and Mary Agnes McQuinn Chair of Entrepreneurial Leadership. I took up the Chair when I joined MU in December 2008. I teach courses in entrepreneurship to on-campus and off-campus students. My research and outreach activities are broader than entrepreneurship. My research is on intra-firm and inter-firm strategic management in the agri-food sector. These activities are explained further on these pages.

I am new to the process of blogging. Mostly because I am old. I pre-date fax machines. I wrote my dissertation at Purdue University on a mainframe computer. I knew FORTRAN at the time.

My CV (long and tedious) is here. WESTGREN CV February 2020
